Key Feature Questions: An Introduction

The postgraduate degree in emergency medicine in Malaysia, i.e., MMed (Emerg Med) has recently introduce the component of Key Feature Questions (KFQ).  This short presentation on the rationale and types of KFQ was given to some prospective candidates. This presentation is based on an original article by Page and Bordage (1995).

Thanks for your post. It is very en lighting.I would like to code this paper, "Key-feature questions for assessment of clinical reasoning: a literature review Patricia Hrynchak,1 Susan Glover Takahashi2 & Marla Nayer."
Internal consistency reliability has been reported as being
between 0.49 and 0.95. Face and content validity have been shown to be moderate to high. Construct validity has been shown to be good using vector thinking processes and novice versus expert paradigms, and to discriminate
between teaching methods.
Importantly, the results of KFQ examinations have been shown to successfully predict future physician performance, including patient outcomes. Thanks.
